Built for patients, not the system
Who We Are
Healthcare today generates enormous amounts of information, but very little of it is designed for patients. Important details are often buried in appointments, scattered across portals, or locked inside medical language that is hard to interpret.
Neatly Health exists to change that.
We are a healthcare technology company focused on transforming real doctor patient conversations into meaningful, personalized insights. By capturing, organizing, and translating what is discussed during appointments, Neatly helps patients better understand their care, track decisions over time, and actively participate in their health journey.
Our goal is simple. Give patients clarity, context, and confidence when it matters most, empowering them to be their own best advocate with the right tools by their side.
Our Mission
At Neatly Health, our mission is to empower patients with accessible, science-backed healthcare solutions that put their needs first. We believe that everyone deserves transparent, high-quality care that respects their autonomy and prioritizes their wellbeing.
Our commitment
Put patient wellbeing above profits
Ground everything in scientific evidence
Stay transparent about our practices, pricing, and business model
Protect your privacy
Listen, learn, and improve
Better conversations, better care
We believe the patient-doctor relationship is the most critical part of healthcare. Our job isn't to replace your doctor. It's to help you show up informed, prepared, and confident.
When patients arrive ready to engage, they get better attention and better outcomes. It's human nature: informed conversations lead to better care. Neatly helps you make the most of every appointment.
Patients first, always
Every decision we make starts with one question: what's best for the patient?
We're not built for hospital systems or insurance companies. We're built for you. That means:
Your data stays yours. We will never sell your personal health information. You will never be targeted by advertisers based on what you share with Neatly.
Our information is science-driven, not business-driven. Everything Neatly shares with you is based on evidence, not business relationships.
We're accountable to you. Not to billing codes, institutional pressures, or healthcare bureaucracy.
How we make money (and why it matters)
Neatly is free for patients. Here's how we keep it that way.
We sell aggregated, de-identified insights to pharmaceutical and medical device companies. These insights help answer questions traditional data sources can't: When doctors discuss a medication, do they emphasize side effects or benefits? What questions do patients ask most frequently about specific conditions? When do patients prioritize convenience over efficacy?
Why this model:
It keeps Neatly free. You never pay to access tools that help you take control of your health.
It accelerates medical progress. By helping therapeutic companies understand the real patient experience, we enable faster, more patient-centered drug development.
What we never do: Your individual health information is never shared. You are never identifiable in any insights we provide. Period.
Your privacy
Your health information is sensitive. We treat it that way.
We collect only what's necessary to provide you with a great experience
We use industry-leading security including encryption and regular security audits
We're transparent about what we collect, how we use it, and who sees it
You're in control. You can access, correct, or request deletion of your information anytime
For complete details, see our full Privacy Policy.
A note on HIPAA
Neatly follows all HIPAA regulations for data security and privacy.
But here's something worth knowing: HIPAA wasn't actually designed to protect patient privacy. It was built to regulate healthcare systems and insurance companies. We follow it because it sets a high bar for security, but our commitment to you goes further than any regulation requires.
Our Team
Andrew Nguyen, PhD is the co-founder and Chief Technology & Science Officer of Neatly Health, with more than a decade of experience at the intersection of healthcare data, AI, and medical informatics.
He holds a PhD in Biological and Medical Informatics from the University of California, San Francisco and is a Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association.
Andrew's career spans leadership roles in biopharma, digital health, and academia. He served as Global Section Head of Medical Informatics & Data Engineering at Roche/Genentech, building the company's first dedicated medical informatics team and leading real-world data strategies across the enterprise. At Best Buy Health, he was Senior Director and Head of Data & AI, where he architected enterprise-wide AI strategy and scaled AI/ML development by 20x. Prior to this, he served as Chair of the Department of Health Professions at the University of San Francisco, where he was a tenured professor and director of the MS in Health Informatics program. His approach to taming healthcare's data complexity is detailed in his book, Hands-On Healthcare Data (O'Reilly, 2022).
Andrew founded Neatly because he believes healthcare has lost sight of patients. Despite endless talk about "patient-centered care," the industry has become obsessed with system efficiency, paying lip service to outcomes while losing the humanity at healthcare's core. He saw AI as an opportunity to level the playing field, giving patients the tools and knowledge to make the healthcare system work for them. Neatly exists to help patients reclaim agency over their own care.
For over 20 years, Andrew has served as an Emergency Medical Technician and Search and Rescue volunteer, guided by a simple motto: "So others may live." Whether responding to emergencies in the field or building healthcare tools, his work is driven by a fundamental duty to help people when they need it most.
Larry Cordisco is the co-founder and CEO of Neatly Health, bringing more than two decades of experience as a professional investor with deep expertise in healthcare and life sciences.
He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, an MPP from Georgetown University, and a BA in Political Science from UC Santa Barbara.
Larry's career centers on healthcare investing at the highest level. As Portfolio Manager at Meridian Contrarian Fund, he co-managed a $700M equity fund and served as primary analyst for healthcare and life sciences, developing expertise across oncology, immunotherapy, cell therapy, autoimmune conditions, diagnostics, devices, and pharmaceuticals. The fund earned numerous recognitions including ranking #2 on Forbes Magazine's Mutual Funds Honor Roll, top performer in its category by MarketWatch, and the Lipper Award for consistent investment performance. He later served as Co-Chief Investment Officer at Osterweis Capital Management, overseeing $1B+ in assets.
Larry founded Neatly because he saw firsthand how the healthcare system fails patients. While helping his wife navigate three cancer diagnoses and his father through pancreatic cancer, he discovered that achieving good outcomes felt like a crapshoot, dependent on which doctor you saw and whether you knew the right questions to ask. The system was built for providers, not for everyday patients without medical expertise. His investment career had shown him the inefficiencies from the outside; his family's experience revealed the human cost. Neatly exists to give patients the knowledge and tools to advocate effectively for themselves.
Outside of work, Larry is an avid golfer and has volunteered as a puppy raiser for Guide Dogs for the Blind for over 10 years. The work has shown him the powerful bonds between humans and dogs, while also reminding him daily just how much fur Labrador Retrievers shed.
Looking Ahead
Neatly Health is building a future where patients leave medical appointments feeling informed, prepared, and confident in their next steps.
As healthcare continues to evolve, our focus remains the same: transforming conversations into clarity and empowering patients to take an active role in their health.
